VRON-RM was established in October, 2020. Its' Board of Directors consists of three seats representing non-agency homeowners and three seats representing agencies

Mike brings his background of financial management and accounting to the Board of VRON-RM, and also represents vacation rental homeowners like himself. 
Mike had major renovations completed in 2015 to a home in Rancho Mirage and has been providing visitors a comfortable, peaceful environment to enjoy our beautiful city for the past five years. Like many others, he has recruited vacation rental owners and neighbors to advocate for a thriving community, and support VRON-RM. He is one of three board seats representing vacation rental homeowners.  Besides operating a vacation rental since 2015 in Rancho Mirage, Mike has had his own home in Rancho Mirage for the past eight years. In addition, he has contributed to the upgrade and beautification of the city by renovating two other homes in Rancho Mirage. Mike has provided senior management for software design, to provide financial and resource management tools for architectural and engineering firms throughout the world.  He brings his financial knowledge and prowess from years of helping organizations stay attuned and proactive in managing their financial health. He earned his MBA in finance from Harvard Business School. Mike has served on the board and committees of home owners' associations and several other non-profit organizations, including SpeakOut Project, and Cambodian Arts and Scholarship. 

He has been a member of the Board since its conception in October 2020.

Louisa Davis - Board Vice President & VR Agency Owner

Louisa has lived in Rancho Mirage for the past 6 years, she owns 5 vacation rentals of which 4 are in Rancho Mirage. In her other careers Louisa owned a food manufacturing company for 30 years with plants in located in Seattle Wa. and Jamaica in the Caribbean. She also worked at NBC, Los Angeles and Hallmark Cards. Louisa Graduated from University of Washington and has been a professional volunteer for many years. She currently also serves on a non profit board that empowers young people to cause change in the world.

She has been a member of the Board since its conception in October 2020.

Jared P. DineenShanstrom - Board Secretary/VR Agency Employee

Jared has an extensive background in hospitality after serving in many guest facing positions in the Hotel Industry for the last ten years. He graduated from Eastern Washington University with Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration & Marketing and with a Minor in International Business. He moved to the desert from Seattle in 2019 so his wife could take on and expand the family business, managing short term rentals. Jared took on a new position as the Catering Sales Executive at The Westin Mission Hills prior to Covid-19. Jared is using his background as a Microsoft Certified Expert and hospitality background to support the needs of VRON-RM.

He has been a member of the Board since its conception in October 2020.

Annie Biskar - Board Treasurer & VR Homeowner

Ann Marie moved to the valley 18 years ago from Portland and has been a part of the Magnesia Falls Neighborhood since 2016. She has served on the Board of Directors for the RMCA (Rancho Mirage Community Association) since 2019. She has been active in the desert serving as the Vice President of Programs for the Palm Springs Writers Guild and Member at large for Vista Paseo Neighborhood Association.

As an administrative professional with over 28 years of experience, Ann Marie has founded and ran four successful corporations in early childhood education, medical practice, and commercial interior design (for companies Coastwide Laboratories and Nautilus Global, among others). She is a residential designer whose work is in national print, digital, and film media.

 In all fields, she was responsible for liaising with government agencies, human resource management for over 500 employees over 28 years, marketing and advertising, financial management and oversight, quality control, and customer service.

 A leader in education and environmental design for children aged six weeks to twelve years, she was interviewed and recognized by CNN Money magazine in 2001 for her experience and insight in the early childhood education industry. She was a member of the Board for the Oregon Association of Child Care Directors from 1999-2001, where she focused on educational training and events hosted by the Board. 

She has been a member of the Board since its conception in October 2020.

Dan Moran: Board Member & VR Homeowner

Dan Moran is President of Concierge Diamonds, with offices in downtown Los Angeles. He splits his time between Rancho Palos Verdes and Rancho Mirage, and is a STR homeowner in Magnesia Falls Cove. He has extensive background in business management and negotiation.

He has been a member of the Board since its conception in October 2020.

Scott Shanstrom - Board Member & VR Agency Owner

Scott is currently the owner of Sinclair Vacation Properties, a small short term vacation rental management company that he has built over the past nine years and now has been joined by his daughter in the day to day operation.  Scott is also the owner of two short term vacation properties acquired after Scott permanently moved to Rancho Mirage 12 years ago. Each home acquired was extensively remodelled and established as a STR with hyper sensitivity to neighbor and neighborhood impact. His focus has been on returning guests who are seeking a quiet setting for their vacation. Scott is originally from Montana and moved to Rancho Mirage from Washington State where Scott retired from a strategic Senior Sales Executive position with an International software company. There Scott worked with clients on both curriculum and enterprise software solutions and spanned all organizational sizes ranges from a few stake holders to very large entities with very wide solution needs across multiple departments, committees, boards and all client groups included the top level company executives. Prior to his career in software sales, Scott worked on a commercial sales team in Phoenix Arizona then attended Gonzaga University School of Law and also received a Master Degree and Educational Administration Credentials from Gonzaga University.  Scott enjoyed several years as an elementary teacher, administrator and volunteer grant writer successfully winning one of the largest grants awarded for his school district for supplemental student educational programs.
